I don't know what I would do with out my router and round over bits.... about the only thing I'll sand by hand are flat surfaces, wing top & bottom, and the leading edge, but I use a long / flat sanding bar to do that.

Yep, all by hand. I cut a piece of hardwood and route the contour for sandpaper to fit the contour on the plans and go to town, the centering marks keep from going to the next town
