We'll have to wait for Erik or Bill to chime in to be sure, but I'm 99% certain they're two separate companies. The Imex Model Company is in Brooksville, Florida, and the way I understand it, Bill buys tanks from Taigen, has boxes printed with the Imex logo, and sells them to us. The instructions you find that were done by Erik won't be found in a Taigen tank you buy in Europe, like the new Jagdtigers. We've all seen video of the Jagdtiger as it was released in Europe, and I'm fairly sure that tank won't say Imex on the box. And it's not just instructions, they also have different gearboxes in the Imex Jagdtiger, the European models have zinc while Imex is steel. I look at Imex kinda like the old Yenko cars (Chevelles, Camaros, etc). Yenko got special cars from the Chevy factory and added his own speed stuff and logos, and I think that's kinda what Imex does with Taigen Tanks.
