Grasshopper/hornet is a ok starter vehicle, but in comparison to any of the modern RC's its ancient. In terms of vehicles it would be not far off of say a 57 chevy vs a WRX in performance difference. While the old stuff is fun to drive it just doesn't hold anything to the modern stuff for performance, and ease of use.

If you want something a bit better look at the DF-02 it needs a few minor modifications(one involves a hammer, drill, and a piece of piano wire) to be durable, but even stock it smokes the grasshopper/hornet, and is about 4k more http://item.rakuten.co.jp/jism/49503...27-52-15042-n/


I don't understand why I see different prices for the same parts on that site though. I will admit I can't read the descriptions, but they should be the same thing as part numbers are the same.
