Yes , you can use a wall wart to charge NIMH or NICAD batteries. DoNot! Do not! use a wall wart for LION batteries, They require a LIPO charge at 1c for a 2600 MA. battery. Use the correct charger for the battery you are charging and at the 1c charge rate for best results. Most modern ignition systems, use 6 Volts. If over 6.5 volts, use a regulator.
