i wouldent mate. ive heard loads and loads of horror stories of them, some include the transmitter just freezing and the sticks do nothing, this happend to aguy, but luckly it was on a sim.
The horror stories are not from the users that you actually know and can speak to first hand? There are plenty of Evos in the UK and I have not yet heard of one problem, usually I get to know fairly quick if there are Mpx problems. Sims freezing is a standard Microsoft behaviour, not the model Tx!
