I have one of those carb adapters for the B-cased engines as well. I had a really lean midrange with the EZ (.330" choke) carb on my Fox .50/MDS .40 hybrid "FrankenFox", so I put a Perry carb I had on it using the adapter (.270" choke). It ran much better in the midrange and had no power loss.
The EZ carb worked okay using diesel fuel but didn't work as well using glow fuel.
