Is this the same plane that you were asking
about the propeller? If it is, my guess is
that you went with the propeller your dad
said is best instead of what the experts
(including Bax) recommended.
The AX 75 should have enough power to
actually fly at 10 pounds. Try the right
propeller.

ps. I've seen a Gee Bee racer that had
the propeller barely wider than the cowl
and it flew fine.
