I've had the same trouble with epoxy from Tower. I buy my epoxy from the LHS, in the smallest quantity avaiable.

Buying epoxy from the Big Box stores may be futile. Who knows how long it's been sitting there. The LHS has a better shot at moving product, keeping it fresher.
