This was in Canada. That charges seems generic in nature and can fit many different things. The other charge was similar to our "reckless endangerment" charges that can fit a variety of scenarios.
Porcia: Yes, the Laser problem is a whole different and uncontrolled mega problem for pilots. A friend of mine is an airline pilot and he got hit with a laser that put him out of work for about 2 weeks. Fortunately he regained his eyesight and could return to work.
Just more dumb idiots in my opinion.
