The camera is gonna be an education in itself. This is the first time I've gotten above the Instamatic level so I think I have a lot of reading to do. I'm gonna start with the paper basic manual tonight and hopefully tomorrow I can move on to the included tutorial CDs. I've played with it just enough to know I should stop playing with it until I learn what all the buttons and switches do. So far I read about charging the battery and did that, but I won't do more until I read up on it. There's not much of the season left in Detroit, but next year I should be getting some great pics and vids in a much improved village. I've already got enough winter projects lined up to make sure I won't get them all done, but if I can I want to try to set up some kind of indoor area to showplace the progress I make over the winter. Kind of like a large diorama where I can get tank photos, changing out the buildings and accessories as I get them finished. I think I might be able to use a corner of the basement for that.

As for the Asp, I plan to begin the installation Saturday morning, but I have a bunch of automotive stuff that needs to be taken care of this weekend so we'll see how it goes. You can see a lot of the asp features in this video of Kevin's and I can't wait to try some of them. Well, all of them, really, but some more than others. Like the rev function, and the incoming hit sounds. I think those are firsts for airsoft. When it comes to electronics advancement in airsoft tanks I think Kevin has taken us a giant leap forward with this board. And yes, it's fully IR capable but the battle guys are gonna have to wait a while to see me install an Asp in an IR tank. I'm hoping someone else will tackle that first. For me the one really cool thing IR has that airsoft doesn't is barrel recoil, but Imex is about to change that and I'll be getting an airsoft recoil turret for this tank at the same time as the Jagdtiger.

Kevin has a great youtube channel and I'll be watching a couple of his vids again right before the installation begins.
