If you wanted more sounds you could add another sound board. Turret rotation, gun elevation could be made possible with the addition of another $16 board.

Seems like we are getting more and more full function boards, but these can easily exceed the cost of the tank by the time you include the new radio gears as well. I just wanted to showcase that there are some low cost alternatives, if you don't want to change radio gear and electronics. Lately it seems as if inexpensive doesn't seem to have a place around here anymore. It seems like Taigens are up in the $500 range, Tamiya are slightly higher, and then all these radio's and sound system upgrades add another $200.

I have been around long enough to know it is easy to sink a $1000 into any tank, and have a few of these myself. Lately it seems there have been very few threads on tanking on a budget, so I wanted to showcase something that doesn't exceed the cost of a Heng Long Tank.

So an HL Panther with this DIY sound card can probably come in at under $200. A set of 4 shaft Taigen GB with the bearings or Mato 2.0 Brass gears for about $90 will improve the performance, and still leave you shy of $300.
