Yes proper order Tom and luckymacy, i know where your'e coming from but as Tom says you always try to achieve the recommended revs when breaking in on the ground-5000-5200
I carried out the first couple of hours break in with a falcon 34x12 before setting clearances and cleaning out the gunk residue, I can still feel a slightly tight piston when warm turning over by hand with the plugs out.
I feel comfortable with what Tom says that after the first few flights of 6000 the engine will start to loosen up a bit.
In true German tradition (even though i'm British) i plan to carry it out by the book
I love discussing engines!!!
