They are a rare variant unlike the Continental powered Cubs. The drawback is a radial usually cost more to maintain then a flat horizontal. Still it wasn't the first Cub to sport a radial there was the Taylor E-2. The J3P looks similar to the American Eaglet 230 and the Rearwin Junior.
