I have seen some porting tricks in the car forums that were interesting. Some of the threads are just wrong and seem to be written by children. I am quite wary of a lot of stuff there. The acceleration out of corners makes a lot of kick of the pants feel, seem like power and is very subjective in the midrange, where a car is mostly used. The 7 port motors don't seem to be the answer for the airplanes. I do find the pinching of the sleeve to be interesting when the motor is worn out though. The boat guys may be more related to our needs with pipes etc. The $35 motor is converted to $46 Canadian "may not ship to Canada" Likely $80 in the end, if he would do it. I am more into an actual .049, as that is the size needed for competition in the speed events, not just piddling.
