The body looks like it's in a great shape. For the first steps, I'd probably get a different one and wouldn't have to worry about crashing the nice Corvette (I have a '93 convertible). Before you run this, make sure everything works as it should, especially the brake as this is fairly fast and when you hit something, it'll break and some parts are really hard to find for these. OS engines are really good, but you need to get familiar with the needle settings, glow plugs and the fuel mixture you are going to use. I am sure you can find someone who lives close by and will help you get the engine started and show you how to set the needles. And it's a lot more fun to race with others.
