I was never much for doing builds through the winter, probably because winter in Maine requires lots of work just to get through it, and because Texas just doesn't HAVE winter. Here in the Seattle area, we have winters that have just the right balance. I think I'm finally going to enjoy a winter build, and I'm set up to work. I have a couple of planes all planned for builds this winter; first is to finish my electric-modified GP Super Stearman, next comes the General Hobby 74" Raven, and I have a small Decathlon tucked away if there's time, also an electric modification.
My Syssa comes with a Pitts muffler, so I don't know what to recommend for a DLE, but a number of the guys in this thread have used the DLE 30 and other brands, and they told us what they used so it would fit into the GSS cowl. Sounds like you're going to have a good build, sdstick.
