if you are worried about the extra oz use CF gear and save 5 oz!
Respectfully, I must now correct you...

I just weighed my stock aluminum landing gear and it ways 2.7oz without wheels or axles, the carbon fiber gear upgrade is good for about an ounce at best. The aluminum gear, wheel pants, axles and tires weigh around 6oz so... you would have to remove the landing system all together to save the 5... I have the Fiber-Lite gear, the shorter of the two CF gear options is a miniscule amount lighter I'm sure, but I would rather have the prop to ground clearance for my 14 inch prop.
