Sounds like you got a great deal on your GSS. The mods you have planned all sound like items that should be addressed. The flying wires on the tail are a must, especially under the stab. It's great that it already has the Robart hinges; that's a BIG plus for you. I agree with the carbon fiber linkages too. With the flying wires combined with the linkages, that'll be a real solid finished product. Some busy-work for you while you wait for the rain to pass by!
