Jagdpanther, when your retract will not lock up it's typically because you have a bent pin on the trunion. If it's holding where it's at and not bending any worse you can sometimes delay a trunion repair by spacing up the gear a bit so that the wheel doesn't hit the wheel well that is preventing the lock.
