I have checked and it seems you can use the function button to change output channels that have already been preset. You can assign the same function to multiple servo channels and can change the trims and operating switch lever etc. They can be operated from the one trim and one operating lever.
I guess this means that you can have multiple engines using one throttle stick and trim. Not sure if this answers your point.
