Default RE: ace simple series convert to electric???

I started out with two full size servos, a Black Widow for power and an upside down wing with my first effort with the Extra. Needless to say it didn't fly. After I found out my mistake and got the wing on right side up, the performance was marginal even with a AP .061
What I have now doesn't even have the Ace wing and flys like a different plane altogether. (like the Wattage Giles)
I learned not to use the servo setup shown on the plans. Use a micro servo in the wing for ailerons and one micro servo near the tail for elevator. If you need throttle, use double sided tape and ca glue that servo to the bulkhead behind the fuel tank. Moving the servos really gives more working room inside the fuse.
To make the plane lighter, the next time I build one, I will take my Dremel motor tool and make large open spaces in all of the sheet balsa and plywood. This would be done after it is built.
At 16oz and with a .061 for power it should be a fun, cheap and easy to fly plane, any heavier than that it would not.
