Awhile since the last update, but ive been working hard on this thing to have a mostly complete airframe to display for 12 o'clock high this weekend.
The laser cut flight controls are all built and completed now. This photo is prior to finishing the elevators:
the elevator control horn is done:
And all of the hinges for the ailerons, elevators and rudder are cut from G10 and hysol'd into place
the rudder pull pull cable bushings have been machined from aluminum:
and installed:
the vertical stab tailpost was also cut out:
At this point 95% of the parts for the kit are designed. All that is left is the flap spar mold and the flap hinges.
