Default Pilot Stinson 108 Voyager Horizontal stab mod and engine

Hello,

I am picking up one of these in a few weeks. The plane is fully assembled and has a DLE 30 in her. Been researching the plane and have read that several have had issues with climbing with advanced throttle needing down trim and some bouncing on landing. The fix appears to be in changing the incidence of the horizontal stab.

I'd like to know how many of you Pilot Stinson 108 owners did the mod and your results. Here is a link to that thread.

I posted to it but it looks like it's in some corner of RCU that is not getting any views.

there is a thread on **groups that speak of lowering the trailing edge of the Horizontal stab 11/32 post 112

Also I will fly the plane with the DLE 30 as it's the later version with the rear mounted carb and see how she performs. However I was thinking that a Valley View 40cc twin might be a good selection for this plane. Has anyone placed a 40cc twin in this airframe??

Thanks,
Pete
