Buy quality batteries, charge them correctly and they're just fine, NiMh, NiCd or any of the Lixx types. These blanket statements that one type of battery are no good are just so much do - do. One day, Nixx batteries will be a thing of the past though and in fact, cell size choices are becoming more limited every day.
