I really did start this thread with the intention of discussing if , and if so , why , was the AMA so shortsighted as to collaborate with an organization with a patently racist name . I was not really expecting the reaction of being called a racist myself for pointing out a mistake our organization made by aligning with a group with a racially based name . As I have already stated , the very mention of race in an area where race has no business being mentioned can only be seen as what , Inclusive ? Am I supposed to feel welcomed by an organization that states right in their name that this is a "Black" organization ? I believe we are all equal and folks who put up such walls as the OBAP have with their name are doing far more damage to race relations than they realize , And no one in the AMA thought to realize that by naming a race in their name , the OBAP was practicing the very kind of discrimination that has NO place in a modern society looking to put racial discord to the back of the history books where it belongs ?
