Didn't get much done today because I am preparing for Christmas so it'll be slow for a few. I will try and continue to post so that the thread maintains as the Chief build thread it is.
As of right now, there is no manual for this airframe so I will try and post as many pictures as possible of the build so that new owners can use this thread as reference. Lets please keep photos of other hawks to a minimum so the thread does not become filled with non-build related pics!
I am following along with the installation of wing servos. There are tabs in the cut outs and aluminum L brackets. Very common. I have installed the aileron servo and ran the extension to the edge of the wing.
There are a set of small 3mm or so screws with lock nuts for the flaps. Make sure you install the flaps on the right side of the wing half of the hinges. I recessed the tabs and laminated wood to the bottom as to increase thickness. The added thickness is not shown in the pictures. The screws that come with the NX servos are bigger that usual and that way the lid fits flush.
Use locktite on the screws that bolt the L brackets to the servo.
There are two small arms that will be glued into the aileron and to the leading edge of the flap almost under the filler flap. I will post pics on that tomorrow or after Christmas.
