I'm sure your partner appreciates you rushing in to have his back and defend the position he was so clearly unable to do. They were his own words, either intentional, or poorly crafted, and ones he didn't deny or clarify, perhaps he's left that to you now. Anyhoo...the better news is that it appears you found something positive about the AMA, even if it was in the past.
