I understand now that this is the built up version vs the FG version as I originally thought. It helps if you post a link to the particular model you are referring to. 14 pounds for a 73" aerobatic airframe is a little fat.....but not detrimental by any means.

BUT......everything else said in this thread regarding CMP in general is spot on. You need to really ask....why is this 73" airframe selling for only $140 when everybody elses airplanes sell for 2-3 times more? There is a reason for that and unfortunately many find out when its too late.

There is a lot of experience in this thread. We too were lured by the incredible prices only to find out that you get what you pay for....and sometimes...not even that.

In the end, you're going to do what you want to. When I was new to this....I was the same way......I couldnt be talked out of something I had my mind set on no matter what. I have learned through experience and a small fortune... which manufacturers and products to trust. You dont have to sell the farm to be able to put together a fine airframe.....but dont expect a "garage sale" priced airframe live up to your expectations either.
