One more observation/suggestion......if you've been out of the hobby that long.....have you seen the price of glow fuel lately? With that ST 3000.....you will be lucky to get 4-5 flights out of a gallon of fuel....
If I were in your shoes......I would sell that ST 3000 and use the funds to get a decent 30-35cc Gas engine.....like a DLE 30-35. Gas is so much cheaper....you'll save the cost of the engine in the first year easily if you fly alot....and that is the goal...isnt it? Gas engines are easier to set up and run....dont require any external starting accessories....and you dont get a ton of residue on your airplane.....just take your plane...a gallon of gas....and your transmitter to the field and fly!
