When the kids were in school I would work two jobs so the wife could stay home and take care of the kids. There was always something for her to do. Well one part time job I had for years was a evening finance manager at a large local furniture store. During the weekdays we would have a slow night so I would keep an Xacto knife and a piece of cardboard and cutout wing ribs and fuselage formers. My Ryan SC project has a taper wing with 18 ribs total for each wing plus sub ribs. Wing ribs were between 17.75 and 4 3/4" long. I cut two full sets out of 3/16" balsa a pair at a time. It took several months but it gave me something to do when it was slow. I ended up with two pretty inexpensive wing kits that way.
