Yeah. I'd have to agree with you. It seems from other pics I've seen of the LA-7, the spinner had a slightly more rounded/blunt tip.
But, that is not the main concern with the composite version. I'm a lazy **** and as such like to use my hand starter instead of hand flipping the prop. I don't think the composite spinner would work well with a hand electric starter.
If I was making my LA-7 electric, then I'd definitely take the composite spinner.
