DAK has a simple IFA theory.... Without a turret we grant the courtesy as a means to reduce broken gear boxes. Trust me have had many.... The mechanism is simple. A piece of black electrical tape on the front quarter of the APPLE from the middle of each LED. From distance it will not receive a frontal hit but up close it will take hits. Usually within 5 feet. Of course the idea is hit them from the side and rear.
Over the years we have had a small number of IFAs but lately the number has grown. We have Stugs, SturmTigers, Jagdtigers, Jagdpanthers, Su-85/su100/su122/isu-152s. Rumor has it we may see a brumbar by years end.
As this leads to a heavy Axis shift we have also implemented a new rule. (last Saturday actually) No more than two IFAs on any one side. This was implemented by switching apples. It made all thing good again. The allies have made many leaps and bounds on our field. We have some actual Tank Destroyers now.. Hellcat, M36, (M10 soon!) Su-85 and when set to light they are wicked!
Some experimenting with TFA may come about with more modern gear on the field. I am considering having everything from Leopard 2 to Abrams to Type 10 having a TFA option.
We do our best to keep the battles even and "fair" as combat goes. Many times it is still the Sherman set to medium that wins the day. (ask me how I know....!)
