The Sherman system is 3.475 inches side to side including mounts. The screws for the Sherm are countersunk in to the mount and the mounts and main frame will have to be massaged to get the screws flush with the mounts. This can be done with not much trouble.
Thanks Bob. I may have to re-examine this chassis i am working on. I mat just be able to squeeze 3.475 boxes in there.
