One little word of caution. On my SM F-5 I had the steering mix off with gear up. On my last flight I had a slight air leak. The gear came down with the gear fail safe.

You can probably guess what I forgot to do. Yes! put the gear switch down (gear was already down). Obviously I couldn't steer after landing and ripped the gear out while off roading.
