Default Tower Hobbies BL Vista Glider ESC problems....

Hi, for a slower change of pace for flying I ordered a Tower Vista Glider. Ordered some batteries for it and was ready to test the motor. I am only able to get the motor to very slowly turn over while making a growling sound. I checked the current with a watt meter and there is barely any power getting through to the motor. Any body else have this problem??
I took readings between the leads of the motor and the motor seems ok according to the readings. I suspect that the ESC is the issue. I also tried 2 other battery packs just to see, but there is no difference. I talked to Tower and they will send a replacement but the ESC is on back order. Maybe there have been problems with these. They originally stated that the ESC would be on back order until the end of March. Now they say that it is on back order until the end of May. Now that flying season has started, and not knowing if/when the replacement will show up I ordered a higher rated ESC myself and it is on its way.
Will update when the new one comes in.

Cheers!!
