One other difference to note is that if you want, you may be able to get a lot more flying time per trip to the club. By this I mean, land the plane, fuel her up and off you go back into the wild blue yonder. You won't have to wait for a battery recharge....... with the general caveats of how much fuel you have and how many battery packs you have, etc., etc., etc. With that, don't forget to monitor your on-board battery voltage for the receiver and servos... again depending on how you are powering the electronics.

Oh yeah, one more thing is that will get to enjoy the smell of castor oil and nitromethane! And this is a good thing as every time you catch that scent, it takes you back to the flying field! Bad day at work..... go "smell" your plane
