Tamiya is unique in that their RC kits are a combination of their static model arm and their RC arm. They assemble as easy as any static kit, yet they're engineered to last.

You'll need a few different glues on a full option kit: normal styrene glue (like Testors), a MEK or methyl chloride based (like Tamiya Extra Thin, Tenax, PlastiWeld) for the ABS and ABS to styrene and finally what they call rubber cement for the few instances where you'll be putting non plastic parts together like the MG LEG flasher to the barrel, but that cement can be anything from CA to PVA.

Tamiya uses ABS on their road wheels and high stress areas like the barrel to recoil connections. They tend to over engineer their stuff, I don't think it's necessary since they earlier full options didn't have a problem. No big deal, you just need to be aware so you don't expect a normal styrene glue to hold the few ABS parts. Everything is well marked on both the directions and the sprues.

You can use Tamiya Extra Thin on the whole model to be safe, but the stuff works so quickly and evaporates so fast that a normal tube of styrene glue is easier when applicable.

Both types work by melting the parts together, but ABS needs a stronger solvent.
