JetFan just came out with a 100mm fan that does around 300 watts to a lb after 13 lbs which is the most efficient for the size that doesn't cause ones ears to ring.

... 2 x 12.5 static thrust with ~ 10% flow loss and ~ 22lbs installed estimate.

I figure 6 mins pegged at 10c and that's without using HV or graphene packs to make up for the voltage drop.

What's the weight with gear?... I'm sure its mentioned in the thread but its over 200 pgs

The Flash models just won't work as EDF. The ducting was never designed with that in mind. The Airframe is built like a tank to take everything people can throw at them, so although not heavy, its also not light weight. It just won't work as an EDF aeroplane with any fan unit.
