Back in the day we dialed thrust and used a radar.. we hit 200 with 22 lb thrust in a flat out blast with out the bypass.. so it will fly on 22lb P80 all day nicely.. It will fly on a 100 size engine and break 200 and go uphill nicely too, same as a bandit.. we have had them in the same pattern with identical 100 engines, and they were basically the same speed.. 200 passes all day.
What I like about it over a bandit is its toughness, and it lands easier without the bandits tendencies to tip stall because of the washout
