And I gotta agree with Sport here , I always felt the wood supplied with Guillows was best suited to building the static display version rather than the flying version , especially when building for rubber power . When I built them for rubber I selected better lighter balsa and "Rekitted" the kit . When I built them for .020 or .049 glow I'd use most of the heavy wood the kit came with but I'd make my own firewall out of Sig's "Lite" brand thin plywood with better quality balsa for the fuselage stringers .
So much for "FAA number as custom AMA number ?"....
