Take this thread for example.
Look at how they can take such a simple, matter of fact observation on your part and turn it into a full blown Congressional Hearing where your motives, your integrity, your wisdom, etc. are questioned instead of simply providing examples of their own situations [in this case, field access] and being content to leave it at that.
Believe me, if you could just stop giving them the time of day, they will seek a new host to feed off of.
He responds for the same reason you do, because he wants to. It's really as simple as that. He invites discussion and willingly participates in it, leaving out the cheap shots and personal attacks. The post is in the AMA forums and was meant to solicit discussion, which he is getting, and oddly enough I don't see him complaining. He's been here long enough to know that this type of commentary and comparison is going to get a whole host of different views. Should every forum here be exactly the same, where everyone gives a +1 and agrees with each other?
Nobody is forcing anyone to comment here, or respond to any comment. I'm guessing Franklin continue to discuss as he wants no?
