I wasn't referring to any cable you mentioned. I was referring to the throttle setup not the drive line. People use cables for throttles and they are not great for back triggering/braking the carb. Just suggesting go solid rods and Speedmaster type throttle assembly.
Nothing wrong with a kill switch, voltwatch, gps, etc until it shorts out and burns everything up.
Besides that my point is you MUST have a way to close the carb butterfly completely and you want to be in the habit of slamming it shut when you shutdown so in a wipeout you slam it shut until all is still and quiet so the engine does not ingest water.
People think a switch, voltwatch, gps and/or other misc. accessories plugged in their radio boxes are fine and serving some good purpose and then same problem, majic smoke, total meltdown. Seen water cause them to fail and go dead short them or just frayed wires in them completely meltdown all the wiring in the radio box no less than 5-6 occasions. That stuff when it goes dead short you have no control either.
