The hcg vs lcg thing is a bit of a problem with those bodies (when you get certain ones, raptor body is an example), the shock towers have a little different height under the body making it necessary to have a taller set in the back and a super short one in the front but the biggest problem is 2wd vs 4wd. My goal for him was to make it so that he didn't have to trim, ream new holes, ect since he is new and that can be intimidating for people to cut on their brand new body. But ya any slash 2wd body should work for you, if you do end up having to trim the body get proper shears before you do it or you will likely struggle to make it look nice. As for body choices i have been wanting to get one of those beetle bodies (i think they are from proline) I have always like the baja bug look for some reason
