If the one way bearing is on, and good, it should only spin one way as the name implies.


If the bearing allows the crank to spin both directions then it is indeed bad, it should freely spin one direction and lock down and spin the crank in the other. Wanting to say your motor should spin ccw. But it's been awhile since I've looked.
