The engine has only had about a gallon and a half of fuel through it. What should be my needle settings? Should I use the needles to get the desired max ground rpm or play with the pitch (which is going to be a pain). Andreas Gietz has asked me to set up a max ground rpm of 3800 for this airplane... (carf p47) and in the past 4-5 flights its worked well. Although I have always felt the engine leaning out on top of a loop. I assumed it was ok, but now I'm beginning to wonder if I have a lean engine since day one.
