Well, apparently I overlooked, or just plain didn't care, one spec on those "blue" budget ESCs. The spec on the ESC's BEC state 5v

. I measured the output of the BECs and came away with a high reading of 5.2v and one had a low reading of 4.9v if my memory is right. Anyway. The Castle Creations BEC allows you to select what output you want (4.8v ~ 9v). I have the CC BEC set at 6v (receiver/servo are only rated for 6v max).That one extra volt, that is now flowing to my servo, made a noticeable difference indeed. Some newer ESCs will even allow you to select the BEC voltage in cases that a HV servo is being used.
