Beginning to run out of cryptic clues, please guess
I'm looking for a plane...
1. It could have been used as inspiration for some of Klunk's inventions in Dastardly and Muttley and was about as successful.
2. While ill conceived it did actually fly.
3. As implied above only one was ever built.
4. The design was developed to meet a specific threat.
5. It was equipped with a 1½-pounder cannon.
6. plus two machine guns
7. Twin engines.
8. The cannon was an early recoilless rifle and I'm guessing that much of the design is based on avoiding shooting itself down with the back charge.
9. Unusual for the day it had an enclosed and heated cockpit.
10. If the cannon and cockpit were not enough, it had another feature which is common on large aircraft today but was very unusual when it was built.
11. It was intended to use night vision to find its prey.
