Need help with next plane
Hello,
First time posting here, so I will give a little background. This is my third year flying, but the first two, I did not fly much. It was not until this year that I joined a club and started improving. My question is which plane should I get next? My first plane was a GP PT-40. I am currently flying Thunder Tiger Sport 40L and am building a Tower Fun 51 profile. I want another plane but am having some problems deciding. I prefer 40 size, mostly for ease of storage and transportation, but I know 60 size planes are usually a bit better to fly so my first question is should I move to 60s? Second, I like P51 Mustangs, Gee Bees and also want to get into more aerobatics (which I think the Tower plane will do). I have heard a lot of good about the World Models P51 and the Kyosho Gee Bee. Both are ARFs. Ultimately, I would like both, but can only get 1 approved by the wife. Which one should I get? I would like retracts on the P51 but fly from a grass field and want to make sure they can handle that without spending a fortune on retracts. I have also heard that the Gee Bee will be tough to fly. I want something to stand out, but that will fly well and hold up well. Something to consider is I still need some work on landings. They are a bit hard, but I have not damaged a plane (even a horrible flying one) for quite a while. Any suggestions on the planes I mentioned or even any I forgot will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance....Dean
