Default S.E.A.M.A.C Jet Together

Last weekend I combined a trip to Buffalo NY to visit relatives with a visit to Perry Warsaw airport for a Jet Together. Saturday started as kind of a grim day with a steady rain. By noon the weather cleared and we were able to fly. Sunday was supposed to be a carbon copy of Saturday but it dawned bright and clear so flying continued. You say "So what!". Well let me tell you about the SEAMAC flying site at Perry Warsaw airport. It's a very quiet place about 1 hour drive south east of Buffalo on Rt. 20A. The SEAMAC club shares the field with very low activity full scale aircraft and a sky diving group (minimal conflict there also). The runway is East-West and smooth as a table top. Approach from either direction is absolutely unrestricted. I mean nothing in the way for miles. What a fabulous place to fly and there were only 4 jets there. The CD cooked us hot dogs and hamburgers and provided cold drinks (It's called Pop in Buffalo). So why am I telling you this? Because I believe it's the best kept secret in the Buffalo area. I'd really like to see more attendance next year so the club can make an enjoyable low key event for the western NY area. I'll be back and I hope to bring some New England area pilots with me.
