Update: sorry i have not been doing these more frequently. As of now im focusing a ton on the hull construction. I hit a wall as to where i will get a accurate part measured for the running gear and decided i would get the takom 1/16 ft17 for reference on running gear. I WILL NOT CANNABALIZE THE MODEL!! I will merely be measuring some of the parts for assistance, but will be keeping to my plate measurements that i have made as the m1917 was not an exact copy. I also needed the model to solve another issue. Tracks. I wanted to make ones that are true to the m1917 as i can not find any substitutes that match the real things. The plastic tracks of the takom model will be extremely helpful in the development of the tracks for my model. I may turn the ft17 model into a rc tank for a future project.
